WESTER ROSS/COIGACH/ASSYNT LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

A full-day landscape photography tuition workshop course in Wester Ross. Ideal if you are touring the far north of Scotland on the NC500.
£229 per person.
This workshop can also be run on an exclusive one-to-one basis for £299.
DESCRIPTION
This workshop provides an excellent variety of subjects, not just mountains and lochs. Although most of the day will be spent in Wester Ross, we will also visit Coigach, Assynt and Sutherland.
The exact itinerary will be based on weather conditions, time of year etc. but locations will be chosen from - Glen Docherty, Loch Maree, Slioch, Victoria Falls, Loch Broom, Kylesku Bridge, Lower Ardessie Falls, An Teallach, Stac Pollaidh, Suilven, Mellon Charles + Mellon Udrigle.
This workshop is limited to a maximum of 3 participants to maximise the potential of each location without overcrowding and also to avoid damaging the habitats.
In addition to visiting these stunning locations we will cover the following topics to improve your images and the enjoyment of your photography; composition, how to read light, the relationship between shutter speed, aperture and ISO, hyper focal distance, depth of field, shooting RAW, the histogram and anything else you may wish to learn or cover.
Ideally you will have a digital SLR or mirrorless camera with a wide angle and a standard to medium telephoto zoom (or prime) lenses, plus a tripod. Filters including a polariser would be useful and solid neutral density (ND) filters are essential if you wish to capture long exposures.

Fitness Level
A reasonable level of fitness is required as there are a few steep hills, cliff edges, slippery rocks and boggy areas, but none of the locations are more than 45 minutes walk from where we park. We will not be climbing any mountains.
What is included?
All tuition and advice during the day is included. Transport from the agreed meeting place to all locations and return.
What isn’t included?
Travel to and from Scotland, accommodation, personal travel insurance, protective clothing, food and drink, camera equipment inc. tripods.
