A full-day individual one to one landscape photography tuition workshop course on the North Cornwall Coast.

DESCRIPTION
This workshop features spectacular locations along the rugged north Cornish coastline.
The exact itinerary will be based on weather conditions, time of year etc. but locations will be chosen from - Godrevy (S), Portreath (S), Wheal Coates (S), Bedruthan Steps (S), Trevose Head (S), Boscastle (N), Trebarwith Strand (N), The Rumps (N), Crackington Haven (N) + Widemouth Bay (N). It isn't possible to visit all of these locations in one day due to the distance so it is best to choose either the north or south section of the North Cornwall Coastline (N or S in the list above). Broadly speaking anywhere north of Padstow would be considered N and south of Padstow S.
In addition to visiting these stunning locations we will cover the following topics to improve your images and the enjoyment of your photography; composition, how to read light, the relationship between shutter speed, aperture and ISO, hyper focal distance, depth of field, shooting RAW, the histogram and anything else you may wish to learn or cover.
Ideally you will have a Fujifilm GFX system, other digital mirrorless or SLR cameras would be just fine, along with a wide angle and a standard to medium telephoto zoom (or prime) lenses, plus a tripod. Filters including a polariser would be useful and solid neutral density (ND) filters are essential if you wish to capture long exposures.
A 1-2-1 is ideal if you have anxieties or concerns about group workshops, such as different levels of experience, confidence, interests etc. Learn to develop your own photographic style, at your own pace, or maybe you just want to brush up on some techniques or even just master a new camera.
Prior to the workshop we will discuss what you want to achieve from the day, locations, meeting point etc. Ideally this will be by a Zoom or WhatsApp video call so that we already ‘know each other’, making the workshop day a much more relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Fitness Level
A reasonable level of fitness is required as the coast path can be steep in places, often with loose stones underfoot. Some locations are a 30-40 minute walk from the car parks. We will not be doing any scrambling up or down the cliffs. The walk up above Boscastle is a steep but well-worn path.
What is included?
All tuition, advice and transport (from the meeting place) during the day is included.
What isn’t included?
Travel to and from Cornwall, personal travel insurance, protective clothing, food and drink, camera equipment inc. tripods.
